This is the mantra that I've celebrated passionately throughout my professional career and it’s the same mantra that I want to continue whilst working as part of this new Adventure.
This creative journey will allow me to be part of a diverse and supremely talented group of young broadcasters who share the same professional ambitions as my own and gives me the unique opportunity to develop my skills within a personality-led environment.
As Broadcasters and modern Content Creators we can support, guide, train, mentor and grow one another aswell as those around us to achieve our shared objectives; to educate, entertain and engage with a youthful and diverse audience. We together can be the creative catalyst for life-affirming content; showcasing and celebrating an engaging approach to the programming we offer will allow our audience to see us as an essential force in the march towards positive and unbiased content produced at a reliably consistent level, day in day out - from the crack of dawn to the chimes of midnight.
I am skilled at show production, research, team leadership, outside broadcasts, interviewing and telling stories. I also have a badge from the Scouts that acts as proof of my ice-sculpting talents, as well as a trophy that me and my Grandma won jointly a couple of years back for surviving the first night of the purge.
My background covers working alongside Producers and many different media contributors to ignite high-quality output. Impeccable communication, supreme organizational skills and sharp responsiveness are a must when working within any broadcasting outlet. The pace is relentless and the responsibility is one that must not be respected. Tasks covered include generating programme format ideas to solidify the station’s image, ensuring that audio is compliant to the Ofcom broadcasting code, working closely with the show team to advocate an effective performance strategy, communicating with the marketing department to ensure listener engagement and continued growth, employing a distinctive but approachable professional manner for the team to believe in, acting fast but specific when any problems may occur, managing any needs for the project, such as materials, budget, equipment and technology and much more besides.
